    Most of them reported :

With the source modification I can get skype 2.1.0.47-0medibuntu2 but there's no skype-static-oss package. Only skype-static.

No package named skype-static-oss but it installs skype-common instead?

On xbuntu 9.10 i got: (after doing the first command)
$ sudo aptitude install skype-static-oss skype
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    Initializing package states... Done
    Writing extended state information... Done
Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "skype-static-oss"

but it seams like skype is working..

Option : try sudo aptitude install skype[tab] to have a look at what skype packages you have.
