A decade ago, I started git-tips as a side project - just a simple list of git tricks.

Over the years, it went viral on GitHub multiple times, earned ✨ 21.6k+ stars, 1.7k+ forks, and got translated into 8 languages.

Even though searching for “git tips” on Google shows my repo as the first in the results, I assumed it had long faded into the archives of the internet…

Until a few weeks ago, when I got an unexpected email from a developer at Cognition (creators of Devin), saying:

“I analyzed over 28 million public repos, and yours was in the top 0.01%!”

🤯 Just wow.

It’s humbling to see how free and open-source software can keep making ripples years after its creation.
