Highly Ubuntu 9.04 integrated GMail Notifier
A simple and lightweight highly Ubuntu 9.04 integrated GMail Notifier which takes advantages of the new and nice notify-osd and indicator-applet. Because of this it will not run with older Ubuntu versions.

QUICK INSTALLATION: Step 1 : $ wget gm-notify-0.X.tar.gz {0.X will be your version , as downloaded from the link suggested above} Step 2 : tar xzf gm-notify-0.X.tar.gz ; cd gm-notify Step3:# Execute the setup.py script as root $ sudo ./setup.py install To run the notifier just choose it's Application Entry from Applications-Network-Gmail Notifier. The Configuration-Dialog is placed unter System-Settings-GMail Notifier Configuration. DEPENDENCIES: - python-indicate - python-notify - python-gst0.10 - python-gtk2 - python-gconf install via $ sudo apt-get install python-indicate python-notify python-gst0.10 python-gtk2 python-gconf
